PRESS: Cbank orders Promsvyazbank to raise reserves by 130 bln rbl
MOSCOW, Dec 14 (PRIME) -- Russia’s central bank has demanded that Promsvyazbank raise reserves by about 130 billion rubles, business daily Vedomosti reported on Thursday, citing informed sources.
One of the sources said that the amount is vast for the bank and will affect the capital of Promsvyazbank which amounted to 152.7 billion rubles as of November 1.
Co-owner of the bank Dmitry Ananyev confirmed an order by the central bank to raise reserves but said that the sum is a matter of discussion.
In August, Alfa Capital analyst Sergei Gavrilov warned clients of the company about problems at Otkritie Financial Corporation (FC) Bank, B&N Bank, Promsvyazbank, and Credit Bank of Moscow. Since then, the central bank has launched financial recovery procedures at Otkritie FC Bank and B&N Bank.
